When it comes to Triples most people know the Belgians are the the brewers that lead the way for many to replicate the style and when most American brewers try to produce a Triple that nail it or fail it. Well The Bruery produced a nice Triple that seemed out the ordinary since they used rice in the mash instead of candi sugar (typical for such a beer) that helped lighten the body and higher the gravity. Also the they added an Asian twist of Thai basil that you typically don’t see to much in Triples. I cinsider this beer a Belgian style golden ale more then a Triple but all in all this 8% abv seasonal beer was a nice refreshing beer.
